Week 14 (11/12/14) - Last Class

This is the last week we met before the study week and final examination. This week Dr. J gives the answers for the scenarios he gave last week. We discuss it together and he explained more about our projects and final examination.

Finally, it comes to an end. There is lots of knowledge that I gain from this subject. Because I’m from TESL background, so this course is new for me and I’m glad that I learn something that not related to my course. Thanks and till we meet again. ANNYEONG!!!

This week we learn about printing:

• Choosing Paper for Printing

Week 12 (27/11/14) – Manipulating Digital Image 2 (Lab Work Continue)

This week we continue to learn about more tools for manipulating image such as Re-touching Tools like Patch Tool, Healing Brush Tool, Clone Stamp Tool, Magic Wand Tool and other tools. We learn how to delete image that we don’t want without make it obvious. This week is the most exciting because we explore many things.

Besides, we also learn about Production of Static-visual Product

• Brochures and Pamphlets
• Posters and Bunting
• Banners and etc

21/11/14 – Special Trip to Melaka for our Digital Image Album project

We go to Malacca to completed our Digital Image Album project..MALACCA,,HERE WE GO!!!

Week 11 (20/11/14) – Manipulating Digital Image 2 (Lab Work)

For this week Manipulating Digital Image, we focus on:

·         Producing Image Borders

·         Integrating Techniques: Speed and Time effect

·         Combining Images

·         Special effect and Panoramic image

We also explore the tools in Photoshop and learn how to use it and when we can use it.

Week 10 (13/11/14) – Manipulating Digital Image 1 (Transformation)

This week, we learn about:

·          Transformation; rotate, schewed, crop etc.

·         Using Hue/Saturation

·         Modifying image color

·         Modifying image lighting

Besides, we also learn how to combine 2 or more images by using the tools in Photoshop.

In Basic Image Editing, we learn about:

Week 8 (30/10/14) - Studio Photography

First, we went to photography’s studio to learn about the studio photography equipment and how to do the setting for lighting when we are in studio or indoor events.

Then, in class we learned about the equipment and techniques for studio photography more detailed. We also learned about Shooting Still-life and Portrait and Living. We were given 2^nd task by Dr. which is Product Shooting.

Week 5 (09/10/14) - Digital Photography

This week, we covered many sub-topics. First, we learned about the Digital Cameras which are:

• ü  Compact Camera
• ü  DSLR
• ü  DSLM

We also learned the differences between SLR and DSLR plus the similarities and differences between DSLR & DSLM. We also were given the knowledge about the Visual Modification or how to manipulate using camera. There are 3 ways:

• v  Adjusting the brightness
• v  Correcting image
• v  Trimming the image

In addition, we also had been explained on the strength and technique in digital photography including:

      Disadvantages of Digital Camera

      Storage Device

We also learned about the Light & Lighting including the sources of light and the importance of lighting in photography. We were given a task which is Light Painting Photography by using the bulb setting.

Week 4 (02/10/14) - Studio Photography (with En. Fuat)

This week, we learned at photography studio with En. Fuat. He teach us how to use camera in correct way. Plus, he shows us how to handle the camera and the side tools that we need to use for some situations.

Week 3 (25/09/14) - Photography & Its Applications

This week, what we learned are not much different from last week. We still in early week, so we still learned about the categories and types of camera. There are 3 categories of camera:-

·         Analogue Camera (Film)

·         Instant Camera (Polaroid)

·         Digital Camera (Memory Card)

Week 2 (18/09/14) - Cameras and applications

This week we went to photography’s studio and learned about types of camera and how to use it based on the applications inside the camera. There are not much different, but with the help of technology, it improved better and better. We also learned about the important functions inside camera that we usually used such as aperture, shutter speed, iso and etc. As we all know, there are lots of camera and each of it had different functions. And of course, the more the price, the better the quality. But we need to bear in mind that, even we have the expensive ones, still it have its own flaws. So, here I attached some of the cameras that you might not saw it before. Google it if you want more information about it. Thanks =)
